  • Writing Grants, Navigating Power: Wayfinding Institutional Fundraising through CCF Values

    Wednesday, October 7, 11am PT / 1 pm CT / 2pm ET

Numerous resources exist to learn the technical elements of the grant profession. Finding your way through the inner work of our role can be more challenging.

Finding community is an important part of professional development, and that’s why both Community-Centric Fundraising and More Than Grant Writers exist. CCF Texas combined these needs into an evolving resource roundup: Wayfinding for New Nonprofit Fundraisers: Skills, Mindsets, and Resources for Success. (Spoiler alert: It’s useful for those of us who are not so new to the field, too!)

Join us on October 7 with Alexandra Brock and Nate Levin-Aspenson, CCF Texas Chapter Stewards and co-creators of Wayfinding, as they share the story behind the resource, introduce its different areas of exploration, and help frame the questions we’ll dig into together. We’ll share perspectives on the inner work of our profession and identify values-aligned resources and practices to add to this evolving library for our peers.

    * This session will be highly interactive, parts of which will be recorded, with breakout sessions designed for deeper discussion. Bring your ideas, questions, and frustrations as we explore what values-aligned practice can look like together.

  • Community Meeting: Fundraising and philanthropy’s role in supporting immigrants and refugees and opposing ICE

    Presented by Community-Centric Fundraising Texas

    Tuesday, October 27th

    11am CT

Registration form (zoom link will be emailed)

Who: formal and informal organizations supporting immigrants and refugees in Texas, fundraising professionals, philanthropy professionals, and donors

Prompted by the shooting of Wilber Rafael Garces Perez by ICE in Austin, this briefing includes presentations on the work being done to support immigrants and refugees, efforts to oppose ICE activities across Texas, and small peer discussion groups on what we can do both as individuals and as institutions. We aim to make this space a point of germination for more coordinated action within the philanthropic sector of Texas

    Goals

    • Education to action within the sector - especially for funders- on where their resources would be most helpful

    • Platform for formal and informal groups working in the space to share about their work

    • Action on the part of funders and institutions to support and protect immigrants and refugees and build local anti-ICE infrastructure

  • CCF Texas: Quarterly Commiseration

    11:00am CST | Thursday, November 5

Join fundraising professionals from across the state to share what’s working, what’s really not working, and how we’re all getting through the challenges of being CCF guided fundraisers!
